Natalie Lovell, City Auditor 

Natalie Lovell was sworn in as the City Auditor for the City of Colorado Springs on March 11, 2025. She oversees the Office of the City Auditor, which provides independent, objective audits and assessments to City Council, helping ensure accountability, transparency, and efficiency in City operations. Under her leadership, the office conducts performance, compliance, financial, and technology audits and administers the City’s Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Hotline.

Natalie brings nearly 25 years of public sector experience. Before her appointment, she served as an auditor for the City of Colorado Springs and, beginning in 2016, held leadership roles at Colorado Springs Utilities, including Accounting Controller. Her background spans environmental permitting, project management, and accounting. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership and Change Management and is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

As a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Natalie brings a strong sense of community, a commitment to results, and a passion for continuous improvement to her role.
