On Friday, August 25, 2023, at 9:50 AM, officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) were dispatched to the US Bank located at 2308 E. Pikes Peak Avenue to investigate a robbery. The suspect demanded money from a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Later on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 1:45 PM, CSPD officers were dispatched to the Key Bank located at 3605 Hartsel Drive to investigate a robbery. The suspect demanded money from the teller and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The CSPD Robbery Unit responded to both banks and took over the investigation. It was determined that the same suspect robbed both banks. There were no reported injuries during the robberies.

On Monday, August 28, 2023, the Robbery Unit identified the suspect as 29-year-old Colorado Springs resident Ulysses Parker II and obtained a warrant for his arrest, charging him with two counts of aggravated robbery.

On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, Parker was taken into custody in San Bernardino County California.
