During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) implemented various safety measures to protect both passengers and drivers. These precautions included:
- Providing masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves to passengers and drivers.
- Limiting bus capacities to 50% with seats spaced 6 feet apart.
- Installing protective barriers for drivers.
- Vehicles disinfected daily.
- Adding air purification systems to most large buses that can limit 98% of viruses.
- Placed air purification systems at the Transit Administration Building where Customer Service is located.
- Implementing an online program for passengers to check real-time bus capacity levels on My Next Bus. (Shown below.)
