Residents and media invited to give feedback and share ideas
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department is conducting a structural assessment as part of a master plan for the central memorial monument, surrounding war memorials and the plaza and gardens that surround the memorials in Memorial Park. The goal of the project is to rehabilitate the main monument that was showing signs of needing repair and restore the overall site to the quality and beauty it deserves.
Working closely with American Legion Post 5, who originally commissioned the memorial more than 50 years ago, the parks department with Stream Landscape Architecture is hosting a second stakeholder workshop to solicit feedback and ideas from interested parties.

This is a public notice that two or more City Council members may be in attendance.
