From May 27, 2020, through June 9, 2020, four businesses were robbed by a lone suspect with a handgun. Through their investigative work, detectives from the Colorado Springs Police Department’s (CSPD) Robbery Unit identified 33-year-old Colorado Springs resident Frank Lopez as the suspect responsible for all four robberies.
An arrest warrant was obtained, and on Tuesday, November 11, 2020, Lopez was taken into custody by the Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force. Lopez was booked into the El Paso County Jail and charged with four counts of aggravated robbery.
The four robberies are:
- 5/27/2020, Subway (4435 Centennial Boulevard)
- 5/31/2020, Marco's Pizza (4935 Centennial Boulevard)
- 6/8/2020, Subway (1714 South Circle Drive)
- 6/9/2020, 7 Eleven (201 West Fillmore Street)
