On February 6, 2023, the Colorado Springs Police Department Major Crash Team investigated a traffic crash near N Academy Boulevard and Entrada Way. On February 7, 2023, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy of the person who was deceased from the crash. The deceased person has been identified as Jaeden Oliver, 21-years-old and a Colorado Springs resident.
This is the 4th traffic fatality of 2023. At this same time last year, there were two traffic fatalities. In the past 365 days, there have been 57 traffic deaths in Colorado Springs. At this point in the investigation, speed appears to have been a factor in this crash. There are no arrests anticipated with this investigation.

On 02/06/2023 at 8:56PM, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department, Stetson Hills Division, were dispatched to the area of N Academy and Entrada regarding a single vehicle traffic crash. When officers arrived, they found a single motorcycle left the roadway and struck a light pole. The rider of the motorcycle was deceased on scene. Due to the nature of the crash the Major Crash Team was contacted and responded to assume the investigation. Speed is being considered a factor in this investigation.
