The Mayor's Office is now accepting nominations for the annual Mayor’s Young Leader Awards. These awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of young professionals, age 40 and under, whose efforts positively impact the Colorado Springs community. Nominations must be submitted via ColoradoSprings.gov/MYLA by Friday, Sept. 1.
City Council seeks volunteers to serve on Boards, Commissions, and Committees
The City Council of Colorado Springs is seeking volunteers to serve on the Airport Advisory Commission and the Planning Commission. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15. The application web form can be found and submitted at ColoradoSprings.gov/boards. All applicants must reside within the City of Colorado Springs unless otherwise noted.

CSPD Teen Cadets Honored
The Community Relations Unit and School Resource Officer Unit are proud to announce the amazing accomplishments of the Colorado Springs Police Department Teen Cadet Program at the 2023 L.E.E.P.A.A.C Conference. The conference had 25 teams comprised of close to 200 cadets from Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, and Texas. The CSPD Teen Cadets participated in several individual and small team competitions and ultimately took home several awards.

Mayor Yemi, City Council announce listening tour starting in August
Colorado Springs residents are invited to Mayor Yemi Mobolade and Colorado Springs City Council’s 2023 Listening Tour. The seven-stop tour, in partnership with CONO, will gather input from residents to help set the strategic direction of the City. The tour, which is part of Mayor Yemi’s First 100 Days Blueprint, will include a stop in each of the City’s six City Council districts, and will also include an online listening session.
