Join the City of Colorado Springs, Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT), and Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) at our upcoming open house on the 2050 Regional Transit Plan and Specialized Transportation Plan.

We need your input to help shape the future of transit in Colorado Springs! Join us to hear about the potential ways transit can meet growing regional needs, learn about the criteria used to select promising solutions, and help prioritize future transit solutions.

The 2050 Regional Transit and Specialized Transportation Plans serve as a framework for the ongoing development and coordination of both transit services and human services (specialized) transportation for the Pikes Peak region.

2050 Regional Transit Plan provides guidance for Mountain Metro Transit (MMT) when considering changes in service, frequencies, new projects, and growth of the system. The 2050 Regional Transit Plan forms the strategy for the appropriate use of funds to meet the community’s mobility goals.

2050 Specialized Transportation Plan focuses on coordination, partnerships, and resource sharing among the region’s specialized transportation providers. Multiple public, nonprofit, and private organizations provide transportation options for seniors, people with disabilities, and people with limited mobility. The Specialized Transportation Transit Plan is required by the Federal Transit Administration for those agencies receiving federal funds.

MMT updates the Regional Transit Plan and Specialized Transit Plan every five years as part of Pikes Peak Area Council of Government’s (PPACG) 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan. The 2045 Regional Transit Plan was last updated in 2019 while the Specialized Transit Plan was last updated in 2020.

Drop in between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the City Administration Building, 30 S Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
